The First Impulses of Motor
The First Impulses of Motor is a printed object designed as an introduction to my upcoming magazine, seamlessly aligning with its aesthetics and core concept. For this project, I envisioned creating a workbook that encourages self-reflection by guiding individuals through an exploration of their moods and how their actions influence those emotional states. The aim was to help people better understand themselves and their inner workings.
To facilitate this, I incorporated a nostalgic game—connecting the dots—that evokes the simplicity and comfort of childhood. This game serves as a tool for relaxation and introspection, allowing users to engage in a familiar activity while reflecting on their emotions. The design incorporates a tactile element using tattoo paper, which allows the dots to be traced and revealed on translucent paper. This technique adds a layer of discovery, encouraging users to reflect on how their minds work and how their thoughts unfold.
In this project, I carefully selected materials and design elements that would enhance the experience of self-discovery, fostering a sense of comfort and curiosity while offering insight into personal growth.
